About the event
This class will discuss the Foreign investment in Real Property Tax Act of 1980 (FIRPTA) and its implications on purchasers of real estate. Believe it or not, a buyer in a real estate transaction has a duty to determine if he/she is purchasing from a foreign seller. The class will assist real estate professionals on how best to advise their clients on how to navigate and comply with the FIRPTA law.
