Event Wrap-Up: VA Loans & Assumable Mortgages Training

On August 26, 2025, Canyon Title hosted a powerful two-part educational event at our DTC office in Colorado: the VA Loans Bootcamp and the Assumable Mortgages Training. Participating in both sessions back-to-back, real estate agents and lenders had the opportunity to earn two separate CE credits while walking away with tools that can have immediate impact on their business and better help them serve their clients.

The day kicked off with the VA Loans Bootcamp, led by Dean Reiber with Zenith Home Loans. This session provided a deep dive into VA financing, covering topics from guidelines and entitlements to appraisals and approvals. Attendees gained strategies to help veteran buyers write stronger offers, navigate the VA process with confidence, and unlock opportunities for this important client base.

Following the bootcamp, the focus shifted to Assumable Mortgages. In today’s higher interest rate environment, assumable loans (FHA, VA, and USDA) are an increasingly valuable tool for both buyers and agents. Dean walked participants through the mechanics of these loans, outlining not only how they work but also how to leverage them as a competitive solution in real-world transactions.

The feedback was clear: attendees left with “two great tools to increase opportunities for clients.” These sessions provided practical, results-driven knowledge that can help agents close more deals and establish themselves as trusted experts in the marketplace.

A big thank you to Jenny Gilbreath and Dean for making this first-time dual training a success. Your hard work ensured everything ran smoothly while delivering incredible value to our guests. We’re proud to have hosted this two-part event and look forward to continuing to bring education and actionable strategies to our real estate community.
